2014 - Marcus Mariota

Marcus Mariota has passed for 3,773 yards, 38 touchdowns and two interceptions and completed 68.3 percent of his passes this season, and has rushed for 669 yards and 14 touchdowns. His 53 total touchdowns — he's also caught a TD — are a single-season Pac-12 Conference record. He led the Ducks to a 51-13 win over Arizona to claim the 2014 Pac-12 Championship. The junior also won the Davey O'Brien Award and is expected to be named a finalist for the Heisman Trophy, for the nation's most outstanding player. That will be awarded Saturday in New York City.

Trenton Thompson Announced as Maxwell Football Club National High School Player of the Year

Maxwell Club President Ron Jaworski today announced that Trenton Thompson, from Westover High School, Albany, Georgia has been selected as the 2014 Maxwell Football Club’s National High School Player of the Year.

Thompson, a 6-4, 311-pound defensive tackle, was dominating during the past season posting 84 tackles, 36 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, 1 interception and 1 fumble recovery. He earned All-State honors and was selected to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl earlier this month. Thompson was also recognized as the USA Today Defensive Player of the Year.

Maxwell Football Club Announces Mississippi State Head Coach Dan Mullen as Collegiate Coach of the Year

Maxwell Football Club President Ron Jaworski announced today that Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen has been selected as the 2014 George Munger Collegiate Coach of the Year Award winner.

Pac-12 Athletes Win Maxwell and Chuck Bednarik Awards

Maxwell Football Club President Ron Jaworski announced today that University of Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota has been selected as the winner of the 78th Maxwell Award for the Collegiate Player of the Year, and that Scooby Wright III of Arizona is the winner of the 20th Chuck Bednarik Award for the Collegiate Defensive Player of the Year.
